intertwine is looking for a Marketing and Admin Officer for one day per week. Although the role will be small to begin with, we hope to continue to grow and hours may increase down the track. The role would suit a recent Communications or Marketing graduate or someone with experience in activist communications. Campaign communications training (Common Cause, race-class narrative, Pass the Message Stick) and training in communications tools will be provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You will join a small but enthusiastic team of people working to create social justice transformation through training and education, networking and communities of practice and community resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Core responsibilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Respond to enquiries and triage incoming communications<\/li>
Use templates to market intertwine training, services and products to organisations via email, phone and social media marketing<\/li>
Draft social media messages for posting on social media channels as directed<\/li>
Conduct direct marketing conversations with potential participants for intertwine training, Communities of Practice and other services<\/li>
Draft and update web pages for use on intertwine\u2019s web site as directed<\/li>
Draft email and fundraising campaigns from time to time as required.<\/li>
Monitor and report on social media activities in the sector<\/li>
Draft communications strategies for specific events and campaigns as required <\/li>
Prepare reports analysing public engagement with intertwine\u2019s communications channels from time to time.<\/li>
Liaise with clients pre-training delivery regarding logistics.<\/li>
Prepare post-training delivery certificates and reports.<\/li>
Conduct post-training follow-up with clients as required.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Additional responsibilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Advise on public communications with regards to intersectional impacts from time to time.<\/li>
If time allows, assisting with grant applications, including writing grant proposals, assessing resource requirements and seeking appropriate partners<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Key selection criteria<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Solid understanding of intersectional feminist theory, critical race theory, the social model of disability and queer theory<\/li>
Commitment to intersectional social justice<\/li>
Experience drafting messages for publication<\/li>
Experience with marketing <\/li>
Experience with design and layout<\/li>
Experience in assessing and analysing materials using an intersectional lens<\/li>
Familiarity with Meta Business Suite, WordPress, Canva<\/li>
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and confident phone manner<\/li>
Self-starter with good organisational skills<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Salary<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
This position is currently identified as a part-time level 4 position under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award. It is envisioned initially as a 0.2 FTE role with opportunity for growth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
