Help us fund the QTIPOC facilitators leading our intersectional Reclaiming Ourselves. Anti-Racism Project in 2026 — so that we can create universities where every student can truly thrive.
At intertwine, we believe that real change happens when communities are supported to lead it. Our vision is a society where people of all sexualities, genders, races, ethnicities, faiths and abilities can live, learn and work with dignity — backed by systems that are fair, equitable and sustainable.
In 2026, we’re launching a new Reclaiming Ourselves. Anti-Racism Project (The ROAR Project) with university students across Victoria. It’s a program built on strength, connection and collective action — because young people deserve to feel safe, valued and powerful in the places they study. We have grants supporting our work, but to really deliver the best program possible, we want to provide more days for all of our fabulous staff.
Right now, as divisive politics embolden racists, transphobes and white nationalists both here and overseas, young QTIPOC (Queer, Trans and Intersex People of Colour) students are navigating environments that are increasingly hostile. Universities should be places where every student can show up as their full self — but too often, they’re not.
This program is being co-designed with students, not for them. To make that space genuinely safe and accessible, we need skilled QTIPOC facilitators to lead the work — people with living expertise, cultural insight and the grounding to hold space for students who have been faced with racism.
That’s where you come in.

We’re super excited to announce our 2026 social justice calendar filled with fierce, staunch, inspirational quotes and fantastic art from Nakia Cadd and Katie Bugden. Every month has days of significance included so you’ll never miss an important event again.
Donate more than $100 to our ROAR Project appeal and we’ll send you your very own copy of the calendar. How ace is that?
And importantly, supporting our QTIPOC facilitators isn’t just about delivering a program — it’s about creating sustainable, community-rooted employment for QTIPOC practitioners whose labour is often undervalued or expected for free.
Funding these roles properly helps build pathways for long-term leadership, economic stability and professional growth outside of exploitative or tokenistic structures. It’s an investment in people, not profit.
Your donation directly supports this.
No massive donor base. No corporate gloss. Just a community coming together to back real, practical change — the kind that makes universities better for everyone.
Every contribution helps us:
- Fund additional days for our paid QTIPOC facilitators for the 2026 program
- Ensure queer and trans students of colour can safely participate in the co-design process
- Build a program that strengthens diversity, solidarity and belonging
- Model what genuine, intersectional, community-led anti-racism looks like
This is about investing in leadership, amplifying voices that are too often sidelined, and supporting young people as they build the future they deserve.
If you believe in a world where all of us can thrive — where our differences are sources of strength — we invite you to be part of this work.
Donate today, and help us create safer, braver and more inclusive universities for every student.
Together, we can build the systems and communities we all deserve.
